Meet our team

Behiye Yenikomsu, MSM LM CPM

Owner/Primary Midwife

Behiye earned her Master of Science in Midwifery from Bastyr University in 2015. Before founding Mama Mia Midwifery in 2018, she gained experience at several birth centers in Central Florida.

  • Residence: Lake Nona, FL, with her husband, two daughters (18 & 16), and their goldendoodle, Yoshi.
  • Inspiration: "The birth of my daughters, both delivered by amazing midwives, ignited my passion for midwifery. I hope to impact the women I serve as profoundly as my midwives impacted me. I will never forget them."

 

Flavia Lima, 

Student Midwife 

Flavia is currently studying at Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery in Winter Garden, FL, with plans to graduate in August 2026.

  • Clinical Training: Joined Mama Mia Midwifery in 2023.
  • Background:
    • Experience: 20+ years as a doula.
    • Specialties: Pelvic floor therapy and acupuncture.
    • Passion: Providing holistic support for laboring mothers.
  • Residence: Orlando, FL, with her husband and three children (ages 11, 9, and 3). Her youngest daughter was delivered at home with Behiye’s assistance.

Sarah Marks, LM, CPM

Licensed Midwife at Beachside Midwifery

Sarah Marks is now a licensed midwife practicing in Orange City, Florida, at Beachside Midwifery.

  • Education: Graduated from Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery in October 2024.

  • Clinical Training: Completed two years of hands-on training with Mama Mia Midwifery.

  • Experience: Brings over 20 years of expertise as a birth doula, supporting countless families during labor and delivery.

  • Personal Life: Lives in Ponce Inlet, FL, with her husband and six children, the youngest three born at home.

Yoshi

 Goldendoodle

Yoshi is our lovable, 75-pound, 4-year-old goldendoodle.

  • Role: He often greets clients during prenatal visits, offering love and comfort.
  • Nickname: "Mr. Bear" for his gentle and calm demeanor.
  • Goal: To spread joy by visiting sick children in hospitals.
  • Client Interaction: Let us know if you'd like Yoshi to join your visit—he’s always happy to meet new friends!
